A taxi driver in Nottingham got paid with fake money on Tuesday night.
A man booked a taxi from Nottingham Road at 11:30 at night.
The passenger kept changing his route, so the driver asked how he would pay.
The man handed over a £20 note. The driver felt it at once. It was fake.
When the driver asked about it, the man gave more notes. Police say they were fake too.
The driver skipped the man's stop and drove straight to Radford Road police station.
Officers arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of using counterfeit currency.
Police searched his home and found a Rambo knife under a mattress.
Officers also seized a cannabis cultivation kit. They found no more fake notes.
Inspector Liz Gaskin called it a fantastic piece of work by a Nottingham taxi driver.
Real notes have raised print. You can feel the words Bank of England and the value.
Check the clear window and tilt the note. The foil patch words should shift.
